Bachmann split chassis DCC conversions

The purpose of this page is to give an insight into the slightly more complicated DCC conversion on the Bachmann split chassis models which involve milling out of part of the chassis to create room for the decoder and a complete strip and rebuild of the chassis itself to isolate the motor. The photographs above show a pictorial history of a conversion on a Bachmann V3 Tank engine from start to completion. These models, though slightly more complicated run particularly well on DCC.
